Personal data

Artefacts processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide this data to us yourself. Artefacts processes the following personal data:

  • Personal data: name
  • Address data: street name, house number, zip code, country
  • Contact details: telephone number, email address
  • Payment details: IBAN, ascription, credit card number
  • Account details: customer number, username, password, IP address

Goals and interests

1. Processing of you order

When you order something from Artefacts, we need your personal data to process and deliver your order. The same applies to handling any returns or repairs. For this purpose we collect your name, address details (delivery address and billing address), telephone number, e-mail address and your payment details, such as IBAN, ascription or credit card number.

All these personal data are necessary to carry out a sales agreement between you and Artefacts. According to the legal obligation, this data is kept for 7 years.

2. Registering your webshop account

Artefacts offers the option to create a webshop account, where your personal data is stored, such as name, address details (delivery address and billing address), telephone number, e-mail address, customer number and of course your username and password.

To make things even easier for you, your account information is automatically linked to your orders. In order to always grant you access to our webshop, your account will not be deleted.

3. Provide you with relevant information
Newsletter and email

We offer a newsletter with which we want to inform interested parties about our products and/or services. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in the newsletter or in your account under settings. Your email address will only be added to the list of subscribers with your explicit permission.

Social media

Would you like to share your experiences with our products and services with others? Or do you have a question that you would like to ask? Then you can use various social media channels and communities that are public.

Artefacts uses Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. Any information you post on these media is made public and are part of the public domain. Therefore, be careful with the information you share. We recommend that you carefully read the privacy policies of these third parties so that you know how your personal data is used and how you can adjust your settings.

4. Website

Some cookies are necessary for the Artefacts website to work properly. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit our website. This cookie is used, for example, to store the contents of your shopping cart or to save your webshop account in your browser. We also measure your activities and surfing behavior on our website, so that we are able to continuously improve our website. We do need your permission for this.

Artefacts uses Google Analytics to measure your activities and surfing behavior. Your IP address is anonymized. Artefacts has a processing agreement with Google that stipulates how our data is handled and is not permitted to use the results for other Google services.

Retention periods

Artefacts does not store your personal data for longer than strictly necessary or when this is legally required, such as the tax retention obligation. When the retention period has expired, your personal data will be deleted.

In some cases, Artefacts does not apply a retention period, such as your webshop account and your contact with our customer service. In the unlikely event that you no longer want Artefacts to have these personal data, you can exercise your right to delete your personal data. See section Rights of data subjects.

Sharing personal data

The personal data you register with Artefacts will only be shared with our partners when this is necessary for our services. These are partners such as delivery services, payment partners and IT service providers. Parties that gain access to your personal data may only use it to provide a service on behalf of Artefacts.

Your personal data will not be sold to third parties and will not be published.

The Artefacts website contains a number of references to other websites and organizations. Artefacts is not responsible for the way in which those parties process your personal data. Please read the privacy policy of the relevant organization.

Security

Artefacts has applied appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, (accidental) destruction, distribution or any other form of unlawful processing. Your data is stored on secure servers Data is sent encrypted (where necessary) to both internal and authorized external parties.

According to the GDPR, you have the right to view, change or delete your registered personal data.
