Started in 2004 in a small room in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. After a couple of months, we moved to a business park in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. In the first two years we mostly designed and built electronics for museums, theater companies, artists and musicians. In the years after that we specialized more and more in the repair and restauration of vintage synthesizers, drum machines and out board gear. Since 2013 we are located in a former shoe store in Sint-Michielsgestel.
Maarten Halmans
Owner and technician, he started making electronic music in the early 90’s. Soon he developed a great passion for analog synthesizers and drum machines. To be able to design and build his own synthesizers he studied electronic engineering at the HTS and earned a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering. Since 2004 he regularly performed with Optical Machines, an audio-visual performance, in the Netherlands and abroad. Meanwhile hes has over 20 years of experience with the repair of vintage instruments.
